The Alvar tray is the oldest product in Nikari collection, dating back to the first years of the small one-man-workshop-company in the 1960’s.
Nikari wasn collaborating with Alvar Aalto’s architecture office and furnishing their projects from 1967 to 1974. The original Alvar trays are still in use in the convention center they were made for.

As the name suggests, the Arte products were developed for special, unique projects, such as an architectural biennale, a culture sauna or an art gallery, to name a few. The collection also includes Nikari’s oldest product still in production, the Alvar tray by Alvar Aalto from the 1960’s.
