Cloud is designed by Monica Förster and is the portable room for meeting, resting and concentrating, a room that is easy to transport from place to place in a normal sized sports bag. The idea behind Cloud is the feeling to be among clouds. In order to capture this feeling a transparent material resistant to air has been used.

The design of Cloud uses a minimum of material and generates a minimum of wastes. Cloud uses air as the carrying material.

From the moment the fan is turned on it takes about four minutes for the room to be inflated and usable. The quiet fan keeps Cloud inflated for as long as needed.

Förster has secured a position as one of Sweden’s leading contemporary designers working with projects that span from handbags to industrial design. Monica Förster was born in 1966, grew up in Lappland in the north of Sweden and studied both at Beckmans College of Design and Konstfack.

Monica has won the award ”Swedish designer of the year” two years in a row and among her clients are Alessi, Tacchini and Svenskt Tenn.

Förster has secured a position as one of Sweden’s leading contemporary designers working with projects that span from handbags to industrial design.

The cross disciplinary work of her studio draws inspiration from everything from high-tech research to traditional handicraft and the studio’s portfolio is one of Sweden’s most international to date.
