RIF RUG
BASEL RUG
Designed by Silvia Fanticelli, 2018
Rif was inspired by the designers’ journey to the northern region of Morocco, fascinated by the colours and history of small villages set in the mountains.
A contamination that created the shape of the rug with the interlocking colours, contrasting but harmoniously in balance, and the rough and precious fibers, tencel, linen and New Zealand wool, that coexist in a single surface.
DESIGNER
SILVIA FANTICELLI
Born in Tuscany, after graduating in Architecture, at the University of Florence, Silvia Fanticelli began working at Claudio Nardi Architects, where she works with interior design for major fashion companies such as Dolce & Gabbana and Ferre ‘. Afterwards she moved to Milan where she collaborated for several years with the Lissoni Associati studio.
Here she had the opportunity to broaden her professional skills, focusing in particular on interior design and exhibition concept for some of the major Italian design companies such as Cassina, Fantini, Kerakoll, Living Divani and Porro.
In 2009 she began her career as a freelancer, always in parallel with research trips and collaborations with international brands that often take her abroad. Her work ranges from interior design for public spaces to styling, from the design of temporary installations to product design.
The curiosity towards distant cultures and the traditional craftsmanship techniques are a constant in the work of Silvia, whose goal is to look at the world of design from a female point of view. Among her clients: Gallotti & Radice, Salvatori, Warli, Domenico Mori, Former, Res.

PRODUCT CARE
-Vacuum regularly. Sweep the carpet sur- face with a soft broom or vacuum clean it in the direction of the pile. Blot stains immediately, possibly with very little water, dry instantly with white absorbing cloth and hair dryer. -If, after the above treatments, you’re not able to remove the stains, or if the rug is placed in heavy traffic public are- as, we recommend the service of a professional cleaner. In the first months of use the loss of fluff due to manual finishing is normal.
