Enigmatic, challenging, chaser of originality
Belgian designer Pierre-Emmanuel obtained his Master’s in Industrial Design from the ENSAV La Cambre in 2014.
Following his graduation, he opened a design studio in the center of Brussels. Since starting his career, Pierre-Emmanuel has been invited to exhibit annually in cities such as Copenhagen, Paris, and Milan.
From conception to production, Pierre-Emmanuel imbues his designs with a sense of the surreal and a respect for craftsmanship. Each piece has a unique voice, and emotional power.
Together, they speak to our more playful and curious nature, inviting us to live experiences unlimited by everyday expectations.His work is enigmatic, challenging what we consider to be evident in order to change habits and perceptions.
His designs are indeed symbolic of an urge to break free from the mundane, to chase originality, while staying within the framework of the most noble materials. In 2020, Pierre-Emmanuel launched Comma and Hyphen with Greenmood.
FEATURES
LICHEN WALL PANELS WITH A DECORATIVE FINISH
The Hyphen is a flat rectangular wall panel covered with preserved Lichen (reindeer moss). The moss is available in different shades for contrasting decorative arrangements. Each product comes with a choice of a cork or felt finish, which can be seen at the very top of the vertically aligned panel. The lichen-covered screens feature excellent acoustic qualities and embody the visual healing benefits of the natural world. They are perfect for placement in office spaces, meeting rooms, hallways and commercial lobbies.
NATURAL SOUND ABSORPTION
Once placed in a corporate environment, this product help to smooth ambient noise and reduce overall sound in an interior to acceptable decibel levels. Natural preserved mosses provide undeniable sound-reducing qualities which were tested by a certified laboratory in Belgium.
