ARCHIMERA STONE
Designed by Federico Babina
A series of architectural sculptures in natural stone, playing with the notion of the archetypical house, make up a fantasy neighbourhood, with each piece their own tiny contained world to be explored, lived in and experienced.
The idea behind the collection, designed by Spanish-based Italian architect Federico Babina, is to utilise architecture and its forms as narrators of tales, transforming tiny houses into “narrative objects” Each house is a kind of refuge that, like a treasure chest, holds secrets and magic spells and is a haven where you can absorb and appreciate the sounds and silence of its very architecture.
With each piece, you step inside an illusory, imaginary, Utopian world, a fusion of art and architecture which hovers between make-believe and reality, where creativity and imagination are built upon foundations of natural stone in a riot of glorious colours created by nature.

WOOD
Remember that wood is a natural material and can be delicate and photosensitive. Exposure to light, heat or damp may cause slight discolouration or minor adjustments in size, but this is entirely normal and shouldn’t be considered a defect.
MAINTENANCE
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
All our finished products leave our Tuscan premises pre-sealed. Since we do not like to paint the surface of our lovely stones with transparent paints or resins, we apply three coats of the highest possible level of protective sealant. This helps to preserve the product without compromising the wonderful natural look and feel of the stone.
That said, please bear in mind that there is no sealer on the market that can make natural stone 100% stain proof, especially if you leave the staining agent on it for a prolonged period.
The sealant acts as a temporary barrier that allows you to have a few hours between the moment a staining substance (for example, wine or coffee) comes into contact with the stone and the moment you wipe it off. The important thing is to act quickly before a substance is absorbed into the stone, as that is when it causes staining.
Please DO NOT use cleaners containing abrasive cleansers, ammonia, bleach, acid or even those “homemade remedies” made from lemon, vinegar and the like.
If you are a particularly assiduous cleaner or you have difficulty removing a mark, you can use specialist stone cleaning products and, if to set your mind at rest you can periodically apply a new coat of sealant. For cleaning stone, wood and metal, simply use a soft cloth with water or a neutral detergent.
