This fabric requires loving care given its creation from a slow artisanal process. The precious wild silk cocoon thread, that is a result of ancient winding techniques, is hand-dyed.
The varying absorption of color gives texture and movement to the finished surface. Fanfara is woven on pit looms, with wooden beams and shuttles. The hammers with which it is then finished by hand are also made of wood, to give it softness and a rich light.
