DOGGY DECORATIVE ITEM
Designed by Eero Aarnio
For centuries, dogs have had a place in people's homes, as pets or as guard dogs. Doggy, designed by Eero Aarnio for Serralunga, also finds its place in the homes of people but as garden furniture.
It can simply be an object of garden furniture, a garden ornament, a game for the children, a sort of garden bench or a stool, thanks to its solid structure. Placed in front of the door, it acts as an ideal guardian of the home and offers guests a warm welcome
DESIGNER
EERO AARNIO
The finnish designer Eero Aarnio, born in 1932, studied from 1954 to 1957 at the Institute of Industrial Arts in Helsinki and started in 1962 with his own office as an interior and industrial designer.
Engaged in new ideas of furniture he designed the Ball Chair already in 1963, it was produced some years later. Material (fibre glass) and shape were complete novelties for that time's furniture industry.
In the following years fibre glass as used in boat construction became one of Aarnio's favorite materials. The resistant and well workable fibre glass enabled Aarnio to design ergonomic forms without restrictions and intriguing new ones too.
With Pastil Chair (American Industrial Design-Award 1968) and Tomato Chair he earned international reputation. Chairs like these can be used both inside and outside, and they swim! Besides, Pastil Chair gives a new, extraordinary idea of what a rocking chair is.

CARE INTRUCTIONS
To remove dust and dirt from the surfaces of the product you will need to periodically clean with a damp cloth soaked in common detergent or soap and rinsed with water.
The products with a lacquered finish are more sensitive to scratches; for this reason use a polish cleaner, gently cleaning with a soft tissue. Avoid the use of heavy chemicals. Avoid the use of ethanol or any liquid containing, even in small amounts, acetone, trichloroethylene and ammonia (solvents in general).
