Designed by Egon Eiermann in 1932 for the much-acclaimed ›The Growing House‹ exhibition in Berlin, the ›Eiermann Shelf‹ belongs to the archetypes of shelving design.
A shelf that, like the home, can grow with the family. Different materials, an optional integrated cabinet and other accessories can be combined in various ways to match your needs and preferences.

EGON EIERMANN
Egon Eiermann was a renowned, multi award-winning German architect, furniture designer and teacher. His work is defined by simplicity and by a design approach that always made a product’s function clearly visible.
Born in 1904 near Berlin, he studied architecture in Berlin before moving to Karlsruhe in 1947 where he was appointed Professor of Architecture at the University of Arts and Design (HfG Karlsruhe). During study visits to the US, he met, among others, Walter Gropius, Marcel Breuer and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.
Eiermann was a member of the Association of German Architects (BDA) and of the German Werkbund and he was also a founding member of the German Design Council (Rat für Formgebung). The West German pavilion at the Brussels World Expo and the Berlin Gedächtniskirche (Memorial Church) are among his most famous buildings.
