Bosa Sister Louise Sculptures Vases

He graduated in printing at the Llotja School of Applied Arts, followed by a degree in sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Barcelona and, finally, a master's degree in video and television production and production at the Universitat Politècnica de Barcelona.

An academic exploration from some of the oldest to the most modern forms of communication, a journey linked by the timeless need to make sense of the world through art and stories.

Along the way he was fortunate to study with some of the great teachers; working for Jaume Coscuella and Magí Baleta, engravers of the work of Joan Miró, Jaume Plensa, Xavier Grau and García Sevilla.

She has worked in many mediums as a visual artist, illustrator, designer, ceramist, teacher, photographer and videographer.

Among his professional positions; working at TV3, illustrating for the International Herald Tribune, designing ceramic pieces for Bosa, artworks for BD Barcelona and many other roles in between.

He frequently collaborates with his partner, Ramón Úbeda, with whom he created his impressive shared studio space in the 22@ district of Barcelona. His ability to alternate and fuse many mediums gives substance and fascinating depth to his always stimulating work.

It can be harsh with a distinct social message or sometimes ethereal and delicate and other times exuberantly joyful, with a fierce and feminine energy. Her Sisters collection of female heads combines elegant, sculptural shapes and delicately rendered finishes that pay homage to women of all cultures.

Women artists and activists such as Louise Bourgeois, Frida Khalo, Helen Frankenthaler or Clara Campoamor, who give name to the pieces in this collection that represent many of the key themes of Pepa's work: each piece begins as a sketch, then a painting, before of becoming a sculptural vase, a process that allows you to experiment throughout and explore the multiple meanings that the Sisters represent in both form and meaning.

Purposeful creativity is what motivates your explorations with color and form, creating a mood, invoking a memory or eliciting an emotional reaction as important as function.

It captures the spontaneity and enthusiasm that is usually lost after childhood, maintaining a fresh and open-minded approach to each new project.

Her studio is a place of joyful creativity where she continues to work in various mediums and disciplines and with the brands, companies and collaborators that move and inspire her.
