PRODUCT DETAILS
Inspired by the undulations of a flag in the wind, the innovative Gommette screen brings a touch of conviviality to work spaces while preserving the privacy of its users. The two wavy Varian shapes rest on a metal support inspired by kimono stands. Of different heights and looks, these shapes combine and overlap to play on opacity and create interior landscapes. The main feature of the screen is its two ecologically designed woven drapes made from linen, Varian®, manufactured by CultureIN. It combines technique and aesthetics for the eco-design, layout or decoration of living spaces.
TECHNIQUE
-Structure : Black or gold tubular structure resting on a thin, flat base for perfect stability on the ground.
-Panel : The panels of the folding screen are made of Varian®, a material halfway between composite and textile. It is entirely eco-responsible and VOC-free. It has been manufactured in an environmentally friendly way, without water or solvents.
-Weaving : Woven with a combination of linen and vegetable yarns, Varian® is a fabric that can be easily shaped thermoforming, hot folding and bending. The possibilities for cutting, assembling and finishing are identical to those of textiles.
MAINTENANCE
-Varian : To maintain the Varian, regularly remove dust and lint with a hoover. If a stain occurs, wipe it immediately with an absorbent, lint-free sponge or cloth. Rub the stain with a damp cloth s o a k e d in ordinary household distilled water to prevent water spots from forming on dark fabrics after drying. Test a hidden area beforehand. For stubborn stains: lightly brush the stains with a soft, dry brush.
-Metal : Clean with a microfibre cloth soaked in neutral soap or neutral cleaners diluted in water. For varnished products, avoid cleaners containing alcohol, granular cleaners and solvents in general. For other finishes, the use of a specially formulated metal cleaner is recommended.

The JUAM design studio was born from the meeting of designers Amélie Claudin and Julien Vignal on the benches of the Arts Décoratifs de Paris. The duo of designers question everyday objects, each idea is deconstructed in order to reveal the deep meaning of the objects, and their future evolution. Through this work of reflection, JUAM redefines the needs linked to design in order to create innovative objects adapted to living spaces.
