BOCHART WHIM MULTI RUG
BOCHART WHIM MULTI RUG
Designed By Vincent Darré
The Bleu des Yeux Carpet, signed Vincent Darré, is an exceptional piece of art for your space.
Influenced by the ceramic artisans of Vallauris, this rug skilfully translates Darré's watercolor drawings via a unique coloring method. The fine nuances of his watercolor are faithfully transcribed, evoking a work of warm tones and almost human shapes.
Made of a careful mix of wool and vegetable silk in a blue hue, this rug gives off a feeling that is both soft and opulent. The characteristic glow of Vallauris pottery is imitated by the use of vegetable silk in simple lines. This approach provides depth and visual richness that captures attention.
Its colors are both soft and well thought out, with warm tones creating a friendly and peaceful environment. The predominant blue recalls marine tranquility and celestial serenity. Brighter colored notes add dynamism and energy.
Available in several sizes, it adapts to your needs, whether you want to make it the center of attention in your stay or an aesthetic addition to your bedroom. This rug will enrich your decoration with a refined and distinguished nuance.

HAND TUFTED
The drawing is printed on a canvas, stretched over a frame. The threads are stitched into this canvas by a gun, either manual or electric, to form the velvet. This velvet is shaved, inspected. The backrest is glued with latex to maintain the velvet, then protected by canvas or mesh. It takes approximately 3 days to tuft a rug, then 3 days for latexing and drying and finally 4 to 5 days for all the finishing touches.
MATERIAL & MAINTENANCE
Matter 90% Wool 10% Viscose
Wool rugs impress with their comfort, resistance and ease of maintenance. The wools used for carpets are stiff and resistant to crushing. Handmade tufted or woven wool rugs, as well as knotted, provide excellent color retention. They combine visual comfort, acoustic comfort by absorbing noise in the velvet, and living comfort by playing a role as a hygrometric regulator. The wool's scale fiber prevents dirt from becoming embedded and promotes cleaning.
At a carpet cleaning specialist, it will be washed with a mild detergent and plenty of water. However, regular maintenance with a brushless vacuum cleaner and occasional stain removal with bed base soil will only allow this cleaning to be carried out every 3 to 4 years.
Toulemonde Bochart rugs are not always single material. To reinforce the character of a pattern, to emphasize a line, it is possible to combine wool with viscose, for example. This play of materials then allows you to play with matte/glossy oppositions for more vibrant designs. Generally, viscose only appears as a flash of light, with little influence on the fragility of the carpet. It is the dominant wool which will make the carpet resistant and easy to maintain.
