FLORINA FABRIC

The development of European tapestry weaving aimed to create substantial cloths that could depict imagery and complex detail, vivid decoration and colour.

This rich textile tradition provides the inspiration for the print Floriana, a multi-coloured design emulating the complex heritage of elaborate tapestry and carpet weaving.

Floriana makes use of the latest print techniques to recreate the sumptuous range of colours and textures characteristic of these decorative textiles and features handsome cartouche motifs set amongst a ground of stylized floral motifs, the tapestry detailing providing excellent opportunity for multi-coloured design of luxurious complexity.

A bold and 3 dimensional new herringbone ground cloth further enhances the textural effects. A varied range of colour ways present soft aqua and neutral which offer a muted mood whilst deep red and navy grounds make rich head colours glow.
