What is time if not a succession of fragments of infinity, placed side by side?
The evocative vision that inspired the idea for Senzatempo , Lapo Ciatti 's coat rack that subverts the laws of physics, is a striking one.
A design object that not only makes steel, the most ductile of metals, seem incredibly hard, but also defies space, allowing itself to be molded to adapt to the diverse context in which it is placed.

LAPO CIATTI
Born in Florence in 1980, Lapo Ciatti studied Industrial Design first at IED and then at the Domus Academy in Milan, before starting to work in one of the most prestigious architecture studios with offices in Florence, Milan and London.
Determined to set up his own business before entering the family firm, he trained abroad, an experience that allowed him to shape a polyhedric vision, open to contamination and a clear ability to grasp future trends.
Having returned to Italy in 2006 , Lapo Ciatti joined the company . After years of silent observation of his mother's entrepreneurial methods, after years of study and field work dealing with international realities, full of youthful energy he fit into the group as if he were born there.
What was born with Bruno Rainaldi was an entrepreneurial, artistic and personal partnership that would profoundly influence his early work. In 2008 together they founded Opinion Ciatti , a company that brings together three different "souls" of the family: CCR, Ciatti a Tavola and Facebox, merging them into a single, unique reality.
Opinion Ciatti as their shared expression of understanding the world of design, a testing ground, a laboratory of forms. In 2009 , the 5blocks container system he designed was selected for the ADI Design Index . Since 2011 he has been CEO and Art Director of Opinion Ciatti.
Deeply connected to his native Tuscany, he has transformed this love for his homeland into a privileged source of inspiration for Opinion Ciatti's products. This is how the #FollowYour Roots collections were born , a journey through time in search of one's roots to give meaning to who we are and what we breathe today.
The union between present and past, the hashtag of 2.0 communication, faced with those roots, to be rediscovered, is the common thread that unites proposals for third-millennium living.
Curious, thoughtful, and attentive to the smallest details, in recent years his attention has turned towards the search for innovative solutions for luxury contract design .
In 2015 , together with Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman, he designed the common areas and suites of OFF Paris Seine, the first floating hotel on the Seine. In 2018 , again with the design duo, he oversaw the creation of the interior furnishings of Ducasse sur Seine , the first restaurant hosted on an all-electric bateau mouche, by the award-winning French chef.

Senzatempo is a coat rack—and a storage unit—composed of individual steel rings that , when bent, take the shape of infinity loops. These rings can then be freely intertwined, one inside the other, to create compositions that vary depending on the space.
