DESIGNER
RAUL BARBIERI
Born in Milan in 1946, he graduated in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 1972.
During his university studies, he collaborated with the Olivetti industrial design department, headed by Ettore Sottsass, and there he met Giorgio Marianelli, with whom he founded the firm Barbieri e Marianelli Architetti in Milan in 1974.
In 1989, he opened his own architectural practice in Milan, where he still lives and works. His collaboration with Rexite began in 1978 and became increasingly important and prolific, leading him to assume the role of artistic director of the company.
Coordinator of the ADI Design Department for a long time, he collaborated with numerous Italian and international companies, and many of his projects received awards in the most important international design competitions.
