This Minimalist Marble and ash wood Tray Set includes small, medium, and large trays, each uniquely crafted to highlight the natural veining and coloring variations of the marble, making every piece one-of-a-kind.
DESIGNER - ALBAN LE HENRY
Alban Le Henry lives and works in Paris. Having studied design at ENSCI (École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle) – Les Ateliers, Alban graduated in 2001 and, afterwards, worked for several years as an assistant to the Bouroullec brothers, whose studio became his second school. In 2007, he opened his own design studio and embraced a broad variety of projects, designing industrial objects as well as scenography.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
MARBLE
Marble is a natural material that gives each piece a distinct and unique appearance. It is sensitive to liquids and if they are not removed immediately, they may leave a permanent stain.
For this reason, MOR marbles are treated with a sealer that makes the pieces more resistant to stains. For daily care and cleaning, it is recommended to use a cleaning agent specifically developed for stone or marble. Wipe all spills as soon as they occur.
Avoid using abrasive cleaning agents or harsh cleaning detergents on marble, as this will permanently damage the surface.
WOOD
ECLIPSE trays are produced in solid ash wood and without any surface treatment, to maintain their natural properties. Wooden cutting boards need to be kept clean and maintained daily. For this reason, we recommend handwash after each use with a mild soapy water solution. Rinse with hot water and dry. No dishwasher or soaking.
After the first few waterings, the wood surface might be a little rough, but this kind of roughness will disappear with use. If decided to apply a finishing, we recommend moisturizing occasionally with a layer of natural beeswax or mineral oil over the board, in order to maintain its good appearance and usability. Wood reacts to the environment.
Exposure to light can alter its colour and also adapt its own moisture content levels to that of its environment. In the case of excessive fluctuations in temperature and humidity, however, it reacts by cracking and warping.
