Blomus Belo Water Carafe
BELO WATER CARAFE
The belo glassware series by frederike martens is made of high-quality, mouth-blown glass - which can be seen in small irregularities such as flow lines, small blisters and minimally different material thicknesses, which lets the colour elegantly varies from piece to piece.
The big volume glass bodies are coloured through, the stem stays clear. The rim is cut and polished, providing a perfect finish for the gentle silhouettes. The line is complemented by a water carafe with glass lid.
DESIGNER
FREDERIKE MARTENS
Trained as an industrial designer with a particular emphasis on glass and ceramics at the Design School in Halle, Germany, Frederike Martens (born 1987) has a rare talent for pure and strikingly simple shapes, and a preference for colours that will stand the test of time.
With her impeccable sense of balance and proportion, Frederike work displays a special sensitivity to how materials work, both alone and together.
However, for the young designer the practical usability of any given item is equally important.
The Sablo tableware line, comprising 18 distinct items, was her first design project for blomus – and has now been followed up by the Ceola vase.

CARE INSTRUCTION
GLASS
Glass is a versatile material that can be produced by machine or by hand. The blomus range includes clear, frosted and colored glasses.
CARE & CLEANING
Blomus has a wide range of mouth-blown glass products. Each glass is unique and may have small air bubbles as well as differences in shape and weight. Extreme temperature fluctuations should be avoided, as glassware can react sensitively to sudden changes in temperature.
Clean the glassware with a mild detergent and warm water to avoid scratches. If our glass products are dishwasher-safe, we recommend polishing them afterwards with a soft cloth to achieve the shiniest possible result.
