DESIGNER - JEAN-JACQUES BEAUMÉ
Historic designer of the Toulemonde Bochart ranges, Jean-Jacques Beaumé reconnects here with his deep inspirations. Collages imbued with references to the masters of the decorative arts, create a very 1930s universe, which still combines modernity with contemporary interiors.
DETAIL
MANUFACTURING (HAND WOVEN)
The drawing is printed on a canvas, stretched over a frame. The threads are stitched into this canvas by a gun, either manual or electric, to form the velvet. This velvet is shaved, inspected. The backrest is glued with latex to maintain the velvet, then protected by canvas or mesh. It takes approximately 3 days to tuft a rug, then 3 days for latexing and drying and finally 4 to 5 days for all the finishing touches.
MATERIAL & MAINTENANCE - MATTER 100% TENCEL®
Wool rugs impress with their comfort, resistance and ease of maintenance. The wools used for carpets are stiff and resistant to crushing.
Handmade tufted or woven wool rugs, as well as knotted, provide excellent color retention. They combine visual comfort, acoustic comfort by absorbing noise in the velvet, and living comfort by playing a role as a hygrometric regulator.
The wool's scale fiber prevents dirt from becoming embedded and promotes cleaning. At a carpet cleaning specialist, it will be washed with a mild detergent using plenty of water.
However, regular maintenance with a brushless vacuum cleaner and occasional stain removal with bed base soil will only allow this cleaning to be carried out every 3 to 4 years.
