Eichholtz Bookend Opia Set of 2

This lovely set of 2 bookends is crafted from a thick slice of petrified wood. Due to the nature of fossil matter, each bookend has a unique appearance: size and colour can vary and imperfections are common.

When trees have been buried for many years under sediment they can transition into stone. While retaining the original structure of the stem tissue, all the organic materials are replaced with minerals. Each piece of petrified wood is unique and not two are alike in colour or shape.

To fully enjoy your petrified wood furniture, please follow a few basic rules:

- Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and excessive heat or dampness.
- Don’t expose the furniture to scratches from pets or sharp objects.
- Use coasters and place felt pads under lamp bases and accessories.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

Petrified wood is very fragile, so never use chemical cleaners. Usually, petrified wood can be cleaned with lukewarm water. If a cleaning product is necessary, use an extremely mild one like a mild hand soap or apple cider vinegar. Test the product on small areas first before applying it all over the wood.
