DESIGNER
CARSTEN GOLLNICK
Carsten Gollnick (born 1966) is the founder of the German design studio Carsten Gollnick Design, which since 1997 has been known for cultivating and developing a design language that naturally focuses on both aesthetics and function, but at the same time always takes into consideration the daily tasks, rituals and culture that any given design will be part of.
Inspiration has often come from Japan, whose strong design tradition has been essential in Carsten Gollnick's creative development as a designer since he began his career.
The guiding principle in his design practice also stems from the strong Japanese tradition: Design should never operate hierarchically, and no object is more important than another, because even the smallest and the seemingly most insignificant piece of design has a use and a meaning.
In addition to designing furniture, lighting and tableware for national and international brands, Carsten Gollnick Design has over the years taken on bespoke design assignments that have required close collaboration with some of the most talented craftspeople and artists in the international industry.
Since it was founded in 1997, Carsten Gollnick Design has designed more than 100 products and received numerous awards, including the IF Design Award, the German Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award.

Clean the items with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Do not use abrasive or acidic cleaning agents. Our crockery ranges are dishwasher-safe. Please note that crockery made of stoneware is not scratch-resistant compared to cutlery.
