Since its launch, the Nappula collection has quickly become a modern design classic.The minimalistic design by the Swedish designer Matti Klenell is the perfect combination of contemporary and vintage elements.
The Nappula gift set features polished brass candleholders in two heights. Adored by many, this unique set is a brilliant housewarming and wedding gift idea. Brass products become beautifully patinated over time. They become darker and less shiny, which is typical of brass.
The product should be washed with neutral washing-up liquid, rinsed and dried immediately with a soft piece of cloth. Stains should be removed immediately with a soft piece of cloth.
Tarnish can be removed using a silver cleaning cloth or paste. Liquid silver cleaning agents are not suitable for brass. Abrasives must not be used, because they scratch the surface of the metal.

Matti Klenell (b.1972) is a Swedish designer known for his continual explorations into the Nordic design philosophy of form and function.
Much like craftsmen during the dawn of industrialism, Klenell seeks to obtain the richest artistic expression within the possible limitations of the production process.
His goal is to bring his creations to life by giving them character and personality. His multi-faceted approach to design allows him to work within many platforms including one-man exhibitions of his art glassware.
Klenell has received much recognition for his work including the Red Dot Design Award for the Lempi drinking glass that he created for Iittala.Klenell has designed a range of home products for Iittala with his Lempi, Nappula, Putki and Virva Collections.

Designer matti klenell’s playful silhouettes for iittala are loved by many. Perhaps his most recognizable design is his beloved nappula (Finnish for ‘button’) collection.
Its signature form was surprisingly inspired by the odd, large feet of an old table klenell saw at the nuutajärvi glass museum. Klenell first incorporated the classic yet modern shape into a wide array of candleholders that all carry the soft, round forms that combine klenell’s love of vintage and contemporary details. Now, klenell has expanded into plant pots that showcase the same distinct Nordic design. Nappula pots have a flowing curved shape and a strong STEM that is perfect for creating inspiring plant displays.
