Reflet is made entirely from solid brass, sandcast at the base and polished above.
The contrast between the two surfaces is deliberate. The base is rough and tactile, retaining the marks of the casting process. The tubes above are clean and vertical, catching light in a completely different way.
Because every base is hand-poured in small batches, no two pieces are exactly alike. Left uncoated, the brass will either maintain its gleam with occasional polishing or develop a natural patina over time.
Reversible and versatile, the tubes also work as a minimalist vase for a single stem or branch. A first edition piece, available in limited quantities. Holds two candles.

DANIEL RYBAKKEN
Norwegian designer Daniel Rybakken is based in Gothenburg, Sweden where he founded Studio Daniel Rybakken in 2008 after studying design at the Oslo School of Architecture and the School of Arts & Crafts in Gothenburg.
He has since become one of Scandinavia’s most highly awarded designers, particularly known for his explorations of light and shadow.
He is the first Scandinavian designer to receive Italy’s prestigious Compasso d’Oro design award (2014), and was honoured with a second Compasso d’Oro in 2016.
In 2015, he was named by Wallpaper* magazine as one of the “top 20 designers in the world under the age of 40”, and in 2017 he received the Torsten and Wanja Söderberg Prize.
