The adage "Nothing is lost, everything is transformed" may very well have been coined by Henrik Odegaard.
Architect by trade, he sees object design as a question of material availability and accessibility above all else.
He recovers, rebuilds, transforms, and gives shape to what he calls his cabinet of curiosities.
Be it the individual object or the collection, everything seems assembled or connected as if it were in a life-size Meccano set.
The deep, empty space carved into the material, the irregular rounded shapes that are readily recognizable as the designer's signature feature.
His first series with Petite Friture, Klump, is a collection of ceramic hooks with playful, organic shapes that reflect his unique style.
