Jamie Hayon’s expressive creativity spreads a colourful roundness and rich sheen into a series of vases. They embody the Explorer collection and fit into their physical environment with Hayon’s whimsical attitude.
The forms remain bold yet playful, incorporating his design style through three portable and polished designs.

JAIME HAYON
Born in Madrid in 1974 and trained in industrial design, Jaime Hayon's creative talents know no bounds.
Seamlessly transitioning between furniture and design objects, interior design, installations, sculptures and paintings, he crafts a narrative universe that is uniquely his own.
Hayon's work embodies his distinct perspective on the world — a whimsical yet insightful exploration of the human psyche. His deep-seated connection to art in every facet of his life is embodied in his zoomorphic, colourful, and folkloric pieces. Hayon offers a captivating glimpse into his imaginative realm.
Like a 21st-century archaeologist, he examines and excavates recurrent themes of diversity, metamorphosis, and hybridisation to create a visual language that is accessible, intriguing, and instantly identifiable as Hayon.
His relationship with materials, notably marble, stone, glass, wood and ceramics, is integral to this language, taking a visceral and intuitive approach to colour and technique.
With a career spanning over 25 years, Hayon has continuously refined his aesthetic across diverse disciplines, with his body of work standing as a testament to his unwavering curiosity and commitment to artistic evolution and innovation.

INSPIRED BY THE EXPLORER COLLECTION
The shapely forms of the Explorer Collection pieces have been condensed into these vases. They are objects that are part of my cosmos, taken from my drawings. The materialisation of these requires great skill because of the apparent contradiction of joining a ceramic rounded piece to another rounded shape.
