FLORENCE BOUREL
Designer
Florence Bourel's early collections combined clean, graphic lines, raw materials, vibrant colors, and traditional weaving techniques, all within an "artisanal" spirit. Shaped by a solid background in product design, interior architecture, and scenography, she draws on her mixed Breton and African heritage to create her style, where color and timeless, contemporary graphics emerge.
DETAIL
MATERIAL & MAINTENANCE - MATTER 100% WOOL
Wool rugs impress with their comfort, resistance and ease of maintenance. The wools used for carpets are stiff and resistant to crushing. Handmade tufted or woven wool rugs, as well as knotted, provide excellent color retention.
They combine visual comfort, acoustic comfort by absorbing noise in the velvet, and living comfort by playing a role as a hygrometric regulator. The wool's scale fiber prevents dirt from becoming embedded and promotes cleaning. At a carpet cleaning specialist, it will be washed with a mild detergent using plenty of water.
However, regular maintenance with a brushless vacuum cleaner and occasional stain removal with bed base soil will only allow this cleaning to be carried out every 3 to 4 years.
HAND TUFTED
The drawing is printed on a canvas, stretched over a frame. The threads are stitched into this canvas by a gun, either manual or electric, to form the velvet. This velvet is shaved, inspected. The backrest is glued with latex to maintain the velvet, then protected by canvas or mesh. It takes approximately 3 days to tuft a rug, then 3 days for latexing and drying and finally 4 to 5 days for all the finishing touches.
THE TOULEMONDE BOCHART SIGNATURE QUALITY
The New Zealand wool selected for the Hacienda offers exceptional brilliance that enhances each shade. The hand-tufting technique, perfected since 1949, gives the pile remarkable density and incomparable softness underfoot. This quality rug represents the excellence of French artisan savoir-faire, where each piece is unique by nature. The pigments used guarantee exceptional color fastness against light and time.
CONTROLLED VISUAL IMPACT
The Hacienda Multi never goes unnoticed, but it remains balanced. The rich colors interact with rare intelligence, creating visual depth that renews itself with each glance. This designer rug integrates with character into contemporary interiors as well as more classic décors, bringing a unique vitality without ever dominating the space. Its audacious palette harmonizes perfectly with sober furniture that allows its colors to shine.
OUR RUG HACIENDA
The Hacienda Multi designer rug embodies Florence Bourel's creative audacity for Toulemonde Bochart. Inspired by a trip to Mexico and the colorful architecture of Luis Barragán, this exceptional creation in hand-tufted wool captures the vibrant energy of haciendas in a composition that defies conventions while remaining perfectly balanced. Each shade vibrates with an intensity that evokes the warmth of Mexican lands.
MEXICAN HERITAGE REINTERPRETED
Florence Bourel has captured the very essence of Mexican aesthetics: vibrant colors, bold lines, and sensual curves blend in a striking harmony. This French rug tells a story of travel and discovery, where each section evokes a fragment of landscape, a colorful facade, a sunset over the desert. The multicolored rug Hacienda thus becomes much more than an accessory: it is a window to another place that invites contemplation and escape.
A CERTIFIED WORK OF ART
The Hacienda rug, certified GoodWeave, testifies to Toulemonde Bochart's commitment to ethical and responsible luxury. To preserve the brilliance of its colors, regular vacuuming and professional cleaning every three to four years are recommended. More than just a floor covering, it is an aesthetic statement that transforms your interior into a living art gallery. A thoughtful choice for those seeking the perfect balance between creative audacity and sustainable artisanal excellence.
