Sonja Silberstein is a freelance illustrator and designer based in Würzburg.
After completing her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg–Schweinfurt, she began working independently in the fields of commissioned illustration, graphic design, and art direction.
In her creative work, she combines clean, graphic forms with a playful and experimental approach.
Through repetition, variation, and abstraction of elements, she creates striking visual concepts that feel both structured and full of life.
As part of her work as an illustrator, she has created a range of prints for MiaCara’s collection of blankets. Her designs always strike a balance between art, design, and everyday aesthetics – guided by a keen sense of form, color, and composition.
Her design work combines clear, graphic forms with a playful and experimental approach. Through repetition, variation, and abstraction, she develops expressive visual concepts that are both structured and vibrant.

CARE
Thanks to the natural self-cleaning properties of wool, Flora rarely needs washing. Most of the time, simply airing the blanket outdoors is enough to keep it fresh.
Smaller spots can be gently brushed out or dabbed with a damp cloth. For a deeper clean, Flora can be washed on a gentle wool cycle at 30 °C or professionally dry-cleaned. After washing, lay the blanket flat on a rack to air dry.
