Designed by Mathias De Ferm exclusively for MiaCara, the Desco feeder is made from a powder-coated aluminium frame, and comes in timeless colours.
Designed to satisfy both cat and owner, the Desco features all the clever details you have come to expect from MiaCara.
The height of the feeder enables cats to comfortably eat out of the bowls, while rubber buffers keep the bowls in place to avoid rattling while your cat eats. The cat feeder also comes with slip-proof silicone feet to ensure a quiet meal.
The Desco cat feeder comes with two porcelain bowls "Made in Germany". The uniquely designed porcelain bowls are not only beautifully shaped, but also particularly high quality and robust. Practical silicone rings ensure that the removable porcelain bowls stay in place when the cat eats and do not rattle.
DESIGNER
MATHIAS DE FERM
Mathias De Ferm is a product and furniture designer from Antwerp, Belgium.
Collaborating with internationally renowned brands, his work includes furniture, kitchenware, barbecues and timber buildings for the outdoors. He founded his own design company in 2010.
Eager to learn more about materials and techniques, he earned additional degrees in metalwork and carpentry. Mathias studied product development at the Hogeschool Antwerpen and furniture design at the Katholieke Hogeschool Mechelen.
An internship at design firm Extremis provided further insight into the full course of a production process: from the first sketch to the final product.
In 2010, Mathias decided to start his own business. As an independent designer, he has worked for a variety of clients since then: from furniture manufacturers to a cookware company.
A collaboration with industrial designer Pieter Vanderhenst led to a couple of innovative, award-winning concepts.
In addition to furniture and products, Mathias has also designed a number of interiors for residential as well as commercial projects.
Added value is a simple but key principle in his design approach. What is a product used for? How can it improve someone’s daily life? Vital questions that lead to innovative ideas: from improving a small feature to rethinking an entire product category.

CARE
BODY
To clean the feeder, wipe the powder-coated aluminium frame with a soft, damp cloth. Please do not use sharp or rough objects or aggressive detergents to avoid scratching the surface.
PORCELAIN BOWLS
The bowls can be washed by hand or in the dishwasher with your usual detergent. Clean the porcelain bowls thoroughly before use.
ANTI SLIP FEET
The included silicone feet can be used to ensure that the product stays in place. To apply the silicone feet to the product, carefully remove the protection film from the self-adhesive surface and fix the silicon feet to the bottom of the product.
The silicone feet may cause a chemical reaction on treated or on natural surfaces. In rare cases, this reaction can cause stains on the floor. Please make sure that your floor is suitable for the use of silicone feet, or place the product on a floor protection mat.
