DESIGNER
BRAD ASCALON
Brad Ascalon is a third-generation American designer whose family legacy, a grandfather who was a sculptor and industrial designer, a father celebrated for monumental art installations, instilled an early and enduring appreciation for craftsmanship and materiality.
He earned his Master's degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute in 2005, the same year Wallpaper\ named him one of the "Ten Most Wanted" emerging designers globally.
In 2006, he established his eponymous, award-winning studio in New York City, specializing in furniture, lighting, and consumer products across the contract, hospitality, and residential sectors.
His reductive approach, seeking the rational harmony of form, function, and concept, has been exhibited in Milan, Paris, London, Stockholm, and beyond. He also teaches graduate-level design at the University of Pennsylvania.
